What are electric boom lifts?
An electric or battery powered boom lift, which has a contained platform or bucket, at the end of a hydraulic arm or boom which can be extended up and over to reach various heights and positions, is the perfect machine for reaching difficult-to-access places. The battery of the electric boom lift can be recharged overnight to allow for a full day’s work, or a spare battery pack can ensure that your hired boom lift can work as long as your workforce to get the project to completion and most machines can be powered from the mains as well as by their rechargeable batteries.
Although able to operate perfectly well outdoors, the electric boom lift is particularly suited to working at heights indoors - as it has low noise pollution and zero emissions. This environmentally friendly battery powered boom lift is an efficient machine that is cost-effective to run, making them financially responsible as well. Our range of electric boom lifts can fit through most door frames and have a tight turning circle as well as being retractable for storage and transportation.
We even offer IPAF Training courses for all of our machinery
Clients hiring one of our electric boom lifts can access our IPAF (International Powered Access Federation) training for their operators at one of our nationwide depots. Employers have a duty of care to ensure that employees are properly trained to operate any equipment that they use at work which is mandated by the Provision and Use of Work
Equipment Regulations (PUWER), which recommends thorough training for all operatives of powered access platforms. The training needs to cover how to use the equipment safely, any potential risks and any essential emergency measures. Most employers demand that all operators of mobile elevated work platforms (MEWPs) obtain IPAF PAF (Powered Access Licence) certification before working with an electric boom lift, for the safety of themselves and all of those working on site.
