IPAF TRAINING SHEFFIELD

GTAccess has nearly 40 years of expertise in the powered access platform sector, and a wealth of knowledge and skills to provide IPAF training courses in Sheffield. The International Powered Access Federation (IPAF) provides certified training courses to safely use MEWPs (Mobile Elevated Work Platforms), including cherry pickers and scissor lifts, to help reduce accidents and injuries. GTAccess’ specialised IPAF training facility just south of Sheffield ensures your construction team is ready for safe height operations.  

With applicants completing an IPAF training course in the Sheffield area, they will receive the IPAF PAL card, which is widely accepted by contracting companies, and serves as a five-year qualification for working on MEWPs. IPAF Demonstrator – This specialised course enables a demonstrator to explain to other operators their responsibilities and pre-use safety precautions.  

IPAF Instructor – This course prepares instructors to be trained and evaluated on understanding and imparting the IPAF training programme to other operators.  

IPAF Load/Unload - This is training that instructs operators on how to safely load and unload access platforms before or after vehicle transit.

The time it takes to complete will depend on the course. Some courses take a full day to complete, starting at 8am and finishing at 4:30pm, while other courses, such as the e-learning modules, can be completed in your own time with half day practical assessments.
