Our Emergency First Aid Training course provides the knowledge and practical skills to help you become a confident first aider in your workplace, covering a range of first aid emergency scenarios.

We can also offer training on the correct and safe use of Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs), this can be done separately or added to this course – please call our training department on 01527 876798 for more details.

 

COURSE CONTENT

  • The role of the first aider

  • Health and safety (first aid)regulations

  • How to manage an emergency

  • Communication and casualty care and how to deal with an unresponsive casualty

  • We will cover resuscitation (CPR), Seizures, Bleeding, Shock, Burns and Choking

  • How to use a Defibrillator including pad placement, prompts and how to respond

 

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
This course is designed for delegates who wish to receive training in emergency first aid and is especially suited for nominated first aiders in smaller, low risk working environments.

COURSE INFORMATION

Course Duration: Full Day
Maximum Class Size:* 10 Delegates
Course Registration: 7:45am
Course Start Time: 8:00am
Course Finish Time: 4:30pm
   

Delegates must arrive 15 minutes prior to course start time for registration.
*Maximum class size may be less at certain training centre locations.

 

CERTIFICATION
On successful completion of the course you’ll be issued with a certificate valid for three years.

DRIVER CPC
This course can also be delivered as part of Driver CPC requirement. An additional charge of £35 is required to cover the CPC registration.

REFRESHMENTS
Tea and coffee will be provided throughout the day on all courses at all of our training centres.  Please note that lunch is not provided.

CANCELATION POLICY
Courses cancelled less than 7 days prior to the course date but exceeding 48 working hours will incur a 50% charge. Courses cancelled less than 48 working hours before the course date will incur full payment. GT Access Ltd, reserves the right to cancel a training course at any time due to unforeseen circumstances. Should a course be cancelled alternative dates will be offered or a full refund given.

12 ACCREDITED TRAINING CENTRES


With over 30 years of experience with access equipment, we are able to offer a huge range of accredited IPAF, PASMA, and Workplace Health & Safety related training courses. We have 12 accredited training centres covering the West Midlands and south Wales.





IPAF Training

We offer a full range of IPAF courses including, Operator training, Harness Safety training, MEWP's for Managers and IPAF Demonstrator and Load/Unload. Our IPAF Operator courses are run 5 days a week (including some weekends) across all 12 of our training centres. Trainees will be issued with a PAL card upon completion that is valid for 5 years.

PASMA TRAINING

We run a full range of PASMA courses including a half day Working at Height Essentials course which enables individuals to comply with their duties under the work at Height Regulations 2005. A half day Low Level Towers course and a full day Towers for Users course that instructs how to safely assemble, dismantle, move and alter a mobile access tower.

We also offer offer a range of Workplace Health and Safety training courses including a full day and 3 day Emergency First Aid at Work. A half day Abrasive wheels course that allows you to comply with the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 (PUWER). And a half day Ladders and Steps Safety course.
