ACTIVELY SUPPORTING OUR LOCAL COMMUNITIES

We are committed to having a positive impact on the local communities from which we derive our business.

SCHOOLS AND COLLEGES
We play an active role in supporting local organisations, schools and colleges to develop young adults. Through our Training department we are an active participant in the employer engagement days at the Aspire Academy in Worcester which helps young adults with special needs to reach their potential. As part of this involvement we have put some of their students through accredited training giving them a route in to meaningful employment that they may not otherwise of had access to.

We have also supported a number of local schools with their Careers Fairs and have hosted a number of students at our Head Office during 'Employer Weeks' where they had an opportunity to experience the workplace enviroonment and learn about the variety of roles within the company. We also support the the local Young Enterprise.

LOCAL CHARITIES
We support the inspirational ‘Help Harry Help Others’ cancer charity and actively encourage our employees to engage in support. This has raised thousands of pounds through sponsored bike rides, cake sales and the three peaks challenge. We also support the Avoncroft Museum of Historic Buildings providing equipment and expertise as and when required by this local charitable museum.

WIDER COMMUNITY
We also take an active role in supporting the wider community when possible. We've supported the Bromsgrove Carnival supplying flatbed trucks. Provided an access platform to help the Freinds of St Johns with there campaign to light up the spire and enabled St Peters in Willenhall with their ambition to save the clock of the former St Lukes church. We are also members of the NWEDR - Economic Theme Group.

CARING FOR OUR ENVIRONMENT

We  take our responsibility for sustainability and energy efficiency seriously and believe the approach we are taking will ensure that the hire of a powered access machine from us will not only be easy and cost effective, but also safer, more efficient and will come at less of a cost to the environment.  We are using technology to reduce our  waste, improve the working environment for our employees, increase efficiency when dealing with customers and manage our operations.

As part of our commitment we have installed 200 photovoltaic (PV) solar panels on the roof of our Bromsgrove Head Office, these produce 50Kw of power which is used to recharge all of our electric powered access machines, as well as providing electricity for the offices, workshops and a fleet of 6 electric company vehicles. This initiative is helping to reduce our carbon footprint by over 20 tons per year.

CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT
We view continuous improvement as a key strategy aimed at encouraging employees to grow within the organisation through a combination of internal and external training, engagement, empowerment and reward. The opportunities that this creates are beneficial to our employees and critical to the success of GTAccess. As our employees are our key differentiator we see continuous improvement as a necessity in achieving our company objectives, targets and priorities.

GTAccess are an equal opportunity employer providing the same level of opportunity to all, regardless of creed, colour, age, sex, disability or sexual orientation.

DUTY OF CARE
We take our duty of care to employees seriously; we encourage them to achieve an appropriate work life balance and we provide access to confidential support and advice on personal issues. We actively promote Health and Wellbeing and are a smoke free environment.

APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAMME
We have consistently found the apprenticeship route to be a really positive way to build skills and capacity within the company.  We have apprentices working their way towards professional qualifications in engineering, business administration, digital marketing, customer service and ICT. To ensure we are able to grow as a business we continuously invest in apprentices and have always taken on at least one engineering apprentice each year.  We believe the benefits that we get from having these highly skilled individuals with their specific experience gives us a competitive advantage within the market.
